Favourite Summer Nails

I'm currently at school but we're watching a movie in Classical Civilisation so I thought I'd schedule a post. Summer is quickly approaching and I've chosen 10 of my favourite nail colours; from pink to blue from shimmer to matte, to feature in this post.
               From l-r (pinky-thumb)
               on my left (pinks) hand:
           BarryM Gelly: Pomegranate
           BarryM Gelly: Papaya
           BarryM Gelly: Dragonfruit
           BarryM Gelly: Grapefruit
           Topshop Varnish: Flamingo Coral

                From r-l (pink-thumb)
on my right hand (rainbow) hand:
            Essie: Turquoise & Caicos
       Topshop Varnish: name rubbed off
(With L.A Colours in Wired underneath)
Rimmel Metal Rush: name rubbed off
(With BarryM in Berry Ice Cream under)
            BarryM Gelly: Greenberry
            Essie: Poppy (I think)1
On my right hand (non pinks) more than five colours are featured, this is because  on the Rimmel and Topshop shades they are more like pearlescent overcoats but can be worn on their own but just be less  opaque.
Here's a close up. I would walk you through step by step about the colours but wouldn't that be too dragging? I'll talk you through my favourites. On my left hand I love Papaya (second to the left). It's my mother's favourite and at school everyone complimented it and with a tan it would look amazing. I also love the colour just to the right of Papaya. It's an opaque vibrant bubblegum pink. Most Barbie pinks look to harsh, streaky or light on my hands but this looks so cute and girly. The topshop colour, on the right, is my least favourite. I put two comparison nails on each hand, I definitely prefer Papaya as my 'summer coral'. The Topshop one is darker, more pink and less vibrant.

On my right hand it's a lot brighter. The red is my go-to red, it leans more in the orange side than true blood red. My two comparison nails are obviously the two mint ones. On my pointer I have Greenberry, which most people seem to prefer. It's less mint and more greeny bless blue mint. It's also a lot brighter. Turquoise and Caicos is a bit sheerer and darker but a lot more mint/Tiffany blue.
The two middle colours (the shimmers) have a base colour to make it more opaque. My middle finger has a lilac base and an overcoat with a lilac shimmer with green and gold reflects. On my ring finger the colour is really unique. It's a dark blue with silver glitter and loads of purple reflects.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I'd love to know your favourite summer colours!

Summer Style: Wishlist: Skirts and Bikinis Part 1

Summer is coming and the hunt for the perfect wardrobe is undergo. I urgently need to go shopping so i've been browsing the internet for the ultimate inspiration, that means scouring instagram, tumblr, pinterest, other blogs and online websites! Effort - I know. But so far i've gathered I need 1000 more skirts, especially skater skirts, and bikinis. I know I also need 1405486745809683 other things, like summer dress - don't even get me started, and shoes but I thought i'd do a few-part series. So here's the first instalment: Skirts & Bikinis.

These are from missguided.co.uk and can be found here. They are only £14.99 each and are in really cute pastel colours. I've featured mint and lilac, but they also have candy pink. My problem with theses are how light and creamy they are, and how pale I am. I think pastel colours are totally amazing, but on fair skin girls like me - they tend to wash us out. I featured the mint simply because it is my favourite colour but is so light it's nearly off-white. I think the purple is the most vibrant, and the least likely to wash me out. I do think if your any shade darker than me (most likely) you should get these! Another problem is my height, i'm 5'8'' and these look rather short. I wear high-waisted skirts really high-waisted, mainly because my waist is a lot smaller than my hips - not to make it shorter and i'm in fear these can go too short too quickly. I mainly only wear skirts high-waisted and if these turn out to be hip-level i'd be rather annoyed. What are your thoughts?
These are from two very different brands. The one on the left is boohoo.com and the one on the right is nastygal.com. The boohoo Leanne Box Pleat Scuba Skater Skirt is a cheap at £12, in really cute colours. I featured the mint, simply because it's my favourite colour. They also have lime and pink! The nastygal Higher Lover Skater Skirt is extremely expensive (for what it is) at £27.25 (converted from dollars to pounds). It only comes in one colour, Berry, but I think it's lovely and can be dressed up and down.

These are all from River Island, and all £18 except the coral that is only £16! The Pink textured skirt is a really cute colour, it looks slightly darker than the Nastygal one but slightly brighter. I'm not mad in the texture look that the pink and blue feature but the colours are cute - just not worth the price? I do love the coral one though and I think it has the perfect shape to it and is so girly and summery.
This is neither a bikini or a skirt, but a bustier. A rather promiscuous one at that. The Erotica Lace Bustier by Nastygal is £24.95 and I think it is the perfect example of how to dress up a skater skirt. It also comes in black but I think the white would be more useful. It's a bit sexier than my usual taste, but I think it's totally cute - worn with the right thing. I wouldn't go near it if I was a common-butt-short-and-six-inch-heels-wearing-orange-slut but I think it could be quite tasteful worn correctly.

These bikinis, all from H&M, are relatively cheap, and vary between £12.99-£24.99 (first two are £12.99, the one on the right is the latter). I am a, shocking, 34D bra size - hopefully I won't be harassed about why I wrote this, I don't think it's something I shouldn't say, so I tend to go for more supportive shapes. I find bandeaus just look shit on me, so I never buy those. I do like triangle shapes but I haven't found any i love yet. I love H&M bikinis because I tend to get new ones each year and they are cheap enough they won't break my bank balance as they would be replaced rather soon. I think the aztec print could be really cute, as could turquoise. I like the gold detailing on both. The one on the right has been really controversial to me. I didn't like it at first, thinking it looked tacky. But now I'm starting to really like it, and I think - worn on the 'right body' could look really cute.

These are just some of my ideas for cute skirts and bikinis. I'm not saying i'm going to get these, but just inspiration and what I like. What do you think of these? Where/what are you getting for this summer?

Instagrams of the Months May-June 2013

I'm back from exams and I survived. I have many posts coming but I thought my 'come-back post' should have something to do with my past month i've not blogged in, so here it is! My instagrams of the month. Coming up I will also do many outfit posts, an exam post, a summer post and many more!

These are with my friend, Millie. Snog, frozen yogurt, is open till midnight - well the one closest to me is! It was 10.30pm on a Friday and I got bored so I phoned Millie up and within twenty minutes we were found in Snog, on St John's Wood High Street - London. It is inevitable to go to this Snog, especially on a Friday, without bumping into anyone. We decided that two little-size fro-yos with toppings were £4.90 each (x2 - £9.80 I think), so very strangely of us we ordered one Massive with three toppings - £9.90. It was hilarious as this size is bigger than an average head and definitely has more than five times the amount of frozen yogurt than a little. We got half vanilla and half chocolate with marshmallows, oreos and a huge brownie - healthy right?
These were taken the night my exams finished, on the 17th. A close friend of mine, Ella, decided to throw a bbq in her garden. She has a trampoline, hammock, a fire pit, and a swing so it was an awesome night. There was loud music and dancing and it was just totally fun - but it sucked knowing we were up till late and school was the next day. The photo on the right is a close up of (right-left) Harriet, Raph and I on the hammock.
Some random shots of me. The one in the left is of my eyes wearing the grey and silver shades in the Naked 2 Palette. The one on the right is of me and Jeanette - someone you must know so well by now as I mention her in nearly all of my posts. We're in H&M just being complete fools in their crazy cat sunglasses.
These were taken on my sister's 17th. She was gifted an amazing pink Figero. The car was originally grey and my mother got it painted pink, the deck of the car is pink as is the piping on the car seats, ooh and the centre of the steering wheel. Not only is it the perfect barbie car, it is also convertible! She is a very lucky girl! I can't wait for her test to be past so we can road-trip with the roof down blaring Taylor Swift and Carly Rae Jepson (#commonwhitegirl)
The one on the left is of my hair cut. My hair has always been long but on the left it was down to my hips, so now it's just above my belly button! The dress is from Topshop. On the right is an outfit post.
Jeans - Abercrombi
Cardigan - Topshop
Bag - Longchamp
Top - Primark
Sunglasses - H&M
Shoes - Converse

These 'deep' photos were taken the night before my exams started, silly me went out ha! These were taken by Jeanette on The Kings Road, Chelsea - London. It was a lovely evening of frozen yogurt, Brandy Melville and a bit of sun.
Sunglasses - H&M
Skirt - H&M
Top - Jack Wills
Black Pumps - Topshop
Purse - Hermes
For those days of revision when you just have to take a selfie. On the left is with my friend Elle, hard at work in geography and biology revision. On the right there's me, and my cat of course, doing some Classical Civilisation revision.
This was taken on the day of Tanya Burr's london meet up in Covent Garden - London, with Jeanette. We built her a build-a-bear but we never got the chance to give it to her because it got cancelled nearly as soon as she arrived, but we will send it off. It's called UnicornBurr.
When you get bored on London Transport so you just whip out your phone. These are with my best friend, Amberli. We do look really similar in these photos, but we don't look at all this similar in person. She's on the right on the top two, and middle in the mirrored one.
The one on the left is of my passport photo I recently had to take. I have so much makeup on, it barely looks like me! It's annoying that my pressed powder, blotted around my lips, showed up in the photo. On the right is a cheeky lip selfie of me wearing Topshop lipstick in Hazard with Nars Super Vendome lipgloss over top. I can't find this lipgloss at the moment, and it's really upsetting!
